Who We Are

Maatru Pratishtana changes the lives of children, women and people with disability by providing them with education, healthcare and the means to earn a livelihood. Our welfare projects are focused in the semi-urban areas and remote villages of Karnataka. We believe too that when true development takes place it includes all members of society. This means ensuring that persons with disability are given equal opportunities to empower themselves.

What We Do

In order to elevate our society as a whole, the challenges that we are faced with need to be tackled on multiple levels and using all the means available at our disposal. Medical camps in villages across Tumkur, Bellary, Raichur, Kalburgi and other rural areas
Free distribution of mobility and work out equipment for people with disability
Women’s safety awareness camps
Introduction to information technology in tribal areas near Tumkur, Karwar and Kodagu
Provision of tuition fees and bags for students in the remote village schools of the Tumkur district
Livelihood support in rural areas through computer training and spoken English coaching
Environment protection awareness camps in schools and villages in the form of sapling planting drives
Sports tournaments for people with disabilities
